Delivery of the kitchen units had been delayed twice because the new kitchen was not ready for them. At last the time had come when we could take delivery. The base units were put straight into the new kitchen ready to be fitted, as shown here, but the wall units were stored in the Link Room. The plumbers had been busy finishing the kitchen plumbing and removing the old boiler, but the new one was out of stock so we had to put up with only a cold water supply and no central heating. Fortunately there was hot water in the Outbuilding and we had stoves that could keep the house warm enough for the time of year.
