A door had been fitted to the bedroom emergency exit, making the end of the outbuilding look almost complete from the outside. However, the bedroom window round the corner was still the old one as the builders wanted to put a stronger lintel stone over it before installing the new one. The emergency door, by the way, is designed for little people. Taller people will have to duck when passing through it, but this is allowable under the regulations as it is an original feature of the building.
